Yard Person Forklift Driver

Cowan Recovery Ltd T/a CMG provide a 24 hour 7 days a week breakdown and recovery service for cars and light vans in the public domain and motoring organisations.

We are seeking applications for a Yard person with Forklift experience at our Northampton Depot this is currently based at Mansard Close NN5 5dl but will be moving to Grendon Road Earls Barton NN6 0RB in the next few months. Your main duties will be in the compound moving vehicles around and general tidiness, you will be dealing with the general public and the local authorities whereby, you will provide excellent customer care to our clients whilst in the compounds collecting cars or property. You may be required on occasions to provide yard cover at our other depots.

You will be required to

• Moving vehicles that have come in for storage (intact or damaged) using a forklift truck & associated attachments
• The Depot Yard is organised to comply with procedures and vehicles are parked in the correct manner.
• General cleanliness of depot & compound and any debris is swept off the road
• Organise all Compound Administration at the depot as required and Liaise with the Depot Administrator and CMG Control room
• To ensure that all procedures associated with vehicles recovered on behalf of the Police are adhered to.
• Preservation of Forensic & Vehicle Examination vehicles, full training will be given.
• Releasing vehicles or property to customers/local authorities as instructed by the administration staff
• De-kitting vehicles of property & making Detailed logs of all property removed to provide an audit record.
• Hold a forklift licence but not essential as training will be provided
• Due to the nature of our works you will be required to undergo Police Vetting and a DBS Vetting check.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm (with 30 mins break)
