Bayley & Sage is growing, and we currently have an opportunity for a Warehouse Assistant

About the role

As a member of the Logistics Hub, you will participate in daily operations, carrying all the tasks as delegated by the Supply Chain Manager.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for receiving and unloading deliveries quickly and safely
Responsible for ensuring deliveries are checked in according to company policy, and putting them away quickly and efficiently
Responsible for rotating stock according to FIFO, checking the quality of fresh food and reporting items for wastage to Supply Chain Manager
Responsible for organising the warehouse according to the established system so that items are easy to find for picking and despatch to include correct labelling
Responsible for picking and packing deliveries for despatch according to instructions given by Supply Chain Manager ensuring items are labelled accurately
Responsible for delivering outstanding customer service to all suppliers and staff of Bayley & Sage.
Responsible for keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and free of hazards
Responsible for following all Health and Safety guidelines as directed by Supply Chain Manager

About you

You will be a hard worker, willing to roll your sleeves up and get on with the job at hand. You are looking for a long-term position and have a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude.
You will be physically capable as heavy lifting is involved in the day-to-day role.
You will be available to work across 7 days as our business is open 7 days a week.
To be successful in this role you will need a strong work ethic, attention to details, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and as part of a team.
Ultimately, you are passionate about delivering great service on time and with a smile.
Desirable: Valid UK driving licence
