The Warehouse Operative is responsible for processing shipments in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring operational excellence, high efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Sorting, packing, loading, and unloading freight.

• Load and unload trucks,
• Pull and stage outbound goods using loading manifest.
• Check in/load out domestic and international freight.
• Put freight away in designated areas.
• Drive sit down fork lift (electrical or propane) in a safe and efficient manner.
• Re-weigh freight / cargo as directed; basic math skills required.
• Maintain a clean work environment and follow safety policies.
• Able to use a computer and the main software packages competently
• All other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as the business demands deem necessary.
• Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (as applicable).
• Contribute actively to a healthy and secure work environment by reporting unsafe/ unsecure/ unhealthy conditions and possible improvements.

• High school diploma or equivalent

Other skills and experience:

• Literacy & numeracy.
• Previous warehouse experience is required.
• Knowledge of air freight regulations is desirable.
• FLT/Reach/ counterbalance Truck essential
• Must be detail oriented and able to work in fast pace, high volume environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Actively participates in safety policies, activities and implementations.
• Work effectively as part of a team
• Manual handling skills
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Basic administration skills
• Be thorough, pay attention to detail
• Able to use a computer and the main software packages competently
• Able to operate and control equipment
